28 was a year of ferocious independence. I bought my first home all by myself. I painted and learned how to mow a lawn and work a grill‪ #‎burgerqueen‬. Major thanks to my folks, especially my dad, for all of their help and for answering ‘dumb' questions. I traveled twice internationally and, overall, more than I ever have before. I had my share of heartbreaks. I listened to a lot of Roy Orbison. Most importantly though, I came to understand my role as an advocate. What it really means to See Something and Say Something. A huge thanks to all of you who have been along this journey with me. I’ve been really lucky to have so many great conversations (and some not so great ones) about issues that I hold personally close to my heart. The conversations won’t stop here. If you’re at all interested, there’s a public forum on Tuesday the 20th regarding comprehensive sex education in OPS. If you want more information, let me know!
As far as the last year of my 20’s go: I am still on the righteous path of Burger Quest – a journey of self-exploration and delicious burgers. I want to make a quilt made out of Bebop fabric. I want to get a vanity plate. The possibilities are endless!
